Tutoriates
The Insterburg can offer many things, that go beyond just living here. For example, we have a bar, a workshop, a band practice room and much more. In order to preserve, maintain and administer these offerings, there usually exists a dedicated Tutoriate.
First of all, a tutoriate is a group of inhabitants, who are motivated to engage with the respective thing. The members of a tutorial gather in regular intervals to plan activities and discuss purchases. Further, every tutorial has a specific budget, which they can spend over the course of the semester.

There are tons of other groups doing diverse stuff for the house community (e.g. DIY-events, do sports together, jamming-sessions, 3D-printer development, cinema-sessions, etc.)
For the tinkerers and handiman among the inhabitants, we have a 3D printer with enclosure and OctoPrint.
To supply everyone with enough Mate and caffeinated drinks during exam phase, we have our own vending machine. Even though its already a bit older, it enjoys the best of health and is in regular use.
For all combat sports enthusiats, we have a heavy bag and mats, which are also very useful for yoga.
With a projector, screen and good sound system we are perfectly equipped for movie nights.
We have a guest room with two beds, which all inhabitant can reserve and use for free.
If you can't focus when working in your room, we also have a study room.

Even though most floors have their own collection, the house also has a respectable repertoire of board games.
Only 200 meters away from Insterburg in our sister dormitory HFK, there is a training room, with weights and equipment.
In our garden, we have a pizza oven for delicious sommer evenings.
The workshop tutoriate oversees the workshop. The tutors help other inhabitants, if they need help with their project or with tools and are always there for questions. We are equipped with standard tools such as a drill, cordless screwdriver, angle grinder, jigsaw and various pliers, files and handsaws. Further we have a drill press, a table saw and welding equipment.
Since many inhabitants get around by bike, we are also specifically equipped for bike repairs.

We take care of the maintenance and further development of the music room and the instruments and tec in it. Apart from the regular practice of different bands and musicians, we also love to meet for some relaxed jam sessions.
Most Fridays, there is a small relaxed party in our bar, where inhabitants meet to talk, dance and drink. Here, we also play a lot of table tennis, billiard and tabletop soccer. Every now and then, there are also bigger parties with more people, sometimes with live music or a specific theme.
So that all of that runs smoothly, there is the bar tutoriate. We organize all the parties and of course also serve behind the bar.

We organize workshops around DIY and recycling and host trash collection events around Insterburg.
The network tutoriate maintains our local digital infrastructure. On the one hand, this includes the routers and switches responsible for supplying an internet connection for the inhabitants. On the other hand, we also take care of this website and our internal website, which is also used to administer the rental contracts and much more.

We nurse and cultivate Plants around Insterburg. This does not only result in beautiful surroundings but also sometimes in comestibles.
